Fun observation though. Star Wars Episode 1 came out this weekend in 3-D. Common knowledge. I still have some connections at the theater and word is that not only has it been very busy (to be expected) but they've been sold out for about two weeks.
Ever think it odd that so many people are so quick to bash the new star wars movies but somehow they made TONS of money, and likely will again. For the record, while they aren't perfect, I liked the first three episodes. I liked Jar Jar and I like ewoks.
I've done my share of movie bashing. I slammed the Twilight movies pretty hard. But in fairness, I also know that I've never had to pay a single cent to see any of them. But I can tell you this: these sorts of movies, be it a Star Wars or a Twilight or a Michael Bay film make TONS of money. Movies don't make as much money as these have just from fanboy/fangirl loyalty. That means someone is pulling a Comic Book Guy.
So to all of you who tear into these movies then go and see them secretly, or for whatever BS reason you come up with. I call bullshit on you. The stench is great.
Now I'm going to go watch little Ani blow up a spaceship and celebrate the greatness that is Jar Jar Binks. Not in 3D, cause im sick and it's a rip-off. But... DVD time
